February Update

Well as you can tell from the few pictures that I have posted we have been doing nothing. The weather has been decent. There is only about 1 inch of snow on the ground today and it won't last long because it is sunny. Matt is out of town this week in Middletown, NY helping clean up the store with other managers. He should be home Thursday then we will head to Michigan to visit family on Friday. Colton and I went to the Aquarium at Niagara Falls yesterday to check it out. I go back to the doctor on Thursday for my 28th week appointment to drink the Crush to check for diabetes. She is very active at night around 11 pm and of course every few hours through the day I feel movement.

January Update

Well we haven't had too much going on here lately. Matt and Colton went sledding 2 weeks ago for Colton's first time. They went about 5 times down the hill and Colton really enjoyed it. Tuesdays are our hectic days because Colton goes to school and then straight to soccer. He actually is doing better each week. Matt practices with him on Sunday nights in the living room. The weather has done nothing but snow almost every day so getting out has not been fun for Steph. But when she does get out she likes to go shopping for pink stuff. We have decided to buy Colton a new dresser and use all his old furniture for Brooklyn Paige's room. I am currently 25 weeks and I have felt alot of movement from our little girl. Matt's crazy idea for the weekend was to go to the falls on Saturday while it was 15 degrees out and snowing so we were not there very long but nice to see during the winter. And today was a very lazy day watching Super Bowl misc. all day.

The rest of the week

Our big boy Colton turned 4 on Tuesday. He spent the day at school while Steph, Grammy, and Deedles went to the Casino. After school he started his first soccer lesson. He said it was ok. I think he was more tired from a long day than he was interested in soccer. Wednesday he went to the doctor for his yearly appointment. He got 3 shots in his arms and was not happy about that. He did however make the charts on his height which is in the 95% and weight in the 75%.
Thursday was our appointment at the Maternal Fetal Doctor about the baby. He looked at out little girl's heart and everything looked normal. She weighs aprox 1 lb and was very active for her 22 week show.

Week with Family

Stephanie's parents arrived last Friday and left today. We decided to take them to New York City for the weekend since they have never been. We really enjoyed them being here with us and I hope they had a great time even though it was really cold here.

If you look really hard you can see the Statue of Liberty from Battery Park at sunset.

Just a picture of the city from "Top of the Rock".

Of course you cant say you have ice skated until you have in Rockefeller Center. This was Colton's first attempt. He loved every minute of it but Matt had a sore back from leaning over.

Happy New Year!

I thought we should start using this blog more. Not too much has been going on here in Sunny but cold Buffalo. We received 17 inches of snow the weekend before Christmas which was fun for Matt and Colton, but Steph could care less about getting out in it. We spent our Christmas in Michigan with the Burtch/Dankert families. We had a wonderful time watching Colton play with all his cousins. We have moved Colton to one of the rooms upstairs to get prepared for our baby girl arriving in May. I think he enjoys his space there and hopefully he will start sleeping in his own bed soon. Yesterday Steph spent most of the afternoon going through boy clothes and deciding what needs to be in a garage sale or passed on to others. Today Colton went outside for a little bit to play in the snow but we are still looking for a hill so the boys can ride the new sled down.

First Week of Recovery

Well Matt rented a car to get back to Dallas last Wed to catch his flight home to Buffalo. Colton and Steph have been staying at her parents house in Abilene. Colton has recovered very well and is back to himself.
While Matt was still here we went to the Dr. and saw our first sonogram of the baby. The due date is May 24th and everything is looking good. We will have our next appointment when the family is together in Buffalo.

Sunday Afternoon

Well while waiting for the discharge papers Colton decided it was best if he took a nap at the hospital before we left. Once he woke up we went back to the hotel and stayed one more night before heading out of Dallas. We arrived in Abilene at 1:30 today and are just relaxing and enjoying Wingstop for dinner. Matt is returning to Buffalo on Wednesday while Colton and I stay in Texas until his follow-up apt on October 24. Thank you for all of your support during this time.
