The rest of the week

Our big boy Colton turned 4 on Tuesday. He spent the day at school while Steph, Grammy, and Deedles went to the Casino. After school he started his first soccer lesson. He said it was ok. I think he was more tired from a long day than he was interested in soccer. Wednesday he went to the doctor for his yearly appointment. He got 3 shots in his arms and was not happy about that. He did however make the charts on his height which is in the 95% and weight in the 75%.
Thursday was our appointment at the Maternal Fetal Doctor about the baby. He looked at out little girl's heart and everything looked normal. She weighs aprox 1 lb and was very active for her 22 week show.

Week with Family

Stephanie's parents arrived last Friday and left today. We decided to take them to New York City for the weekend since they have never been. We really enjoyed them being here with us and I hope they had a great time even though it was really cold here.

If you look really hard you can see the Statue of Liberty from Battery Park at sunset.
Us at Battery Park on Sunday afternoon
Just a picture of the city from "Top of the Rock".

Of course you cant say you have ice skated until you have in Rockefeller Center. This was Colton's first attempt. He loved every minute of it but Matt had a sore back from leaning over.
This is the family after our horse carriage ride through Central Park.

Happy New Year!

I thought we should start using this blog more. Not too much has been going on here in Sunny but cold Buffalo. We received 17 inches of snow the weekend before Christmas which was fun for Matt and Colton, but Steph could care less about getting out in it. We spent our Christmas in Michigan with the Burtch/Dankert families. We had a wonderful time watching Colton play with all his cousins. We have moved Colton to one of the rooms upstairs to get prepared for our baby girl arriving in May. I think he enjoys his space there and hopefully he will start sleeping in his own bed soon. Yesterday Steph spent most of the afternoon going through boy clothes and deciding what needs to be in a garage sale or passed on to others. Today Colton went outside for a little bit to play in the snow but we are still looking for a hill so the boys can ride the new sled down.

Colton being himself.
